Solar Thermal
Letting the sun heat water
Solar Thermal systems consist of collectors or panels that harness solar radiated heat to augment a property’s hot water supply. By adding a solar thermal installation your conventional heating system will require less energy to achieve the desired hot water delivery temperature, which must be greater than 60ºC. This makes them particularly suitable for buildings with heavy daytime heat loads such as public buildings, schools, leisure centres and hotels. They can be sited on both pitched and flat roofs and benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
