Royal National Hotel, Central London
Project Outline
This unique and lively 1,650 bedroom hotel occupies a prominent position on Russell Square, Central London.
With 24/7 operation and a significant annual daytime electricity requirement, the opportunity to utilise Solar PV technology was not to be missed.
The 100m long un-shaded south-west facing flat roof provided the ideal location for Imperial London Hotels to generate and use their own electricity.
Our 70.0 kWp Solar PV system features a purpose made mounting system and web based monitoring. The system generates 63,500 kWh of electricity per annum, all of which is used in the hotel reducing their grid electricity costs and saving 33 tons of CO2 per annum.
