Foxbourne Road, Balham
Project Outline
Like most people these days, the owners of this large terraced Victorian property in SW London were dead set on cutting their electricity bill and their CO2 emissions. The south-facing pitched roof to the front of the property was an ideal place to deploy a 2.20 kWp Solar PV system to help them achieve these objectives. The system generates 2,023 kWh and saves 1.0t CO2 per annum.
I obtained a number of quotes for the new PV system before instructing Treadlighter. I chose Treadlighter because whilst everyone else sent me a salesperson Treadlighter sent me a personable alternative energy professional. It was really refreshing to find myself speaking to someone who was clearly passionate about green energy that was technically well qualified. The integrity shone through and I felt that I was being offered a bespoke system rather than an off the shelf product. Investing in a PV system is a big decision for most of us and something of a leap in the dark given the vagaries of government policy, price inflation/deflation and technical development and efficiencies. Early adopters (relatively) need to feel confident in the expertise and experience of the installers as well as their voracity. For all these reasons I chose Treadlighter and they did not let me down. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently and to a high standard. Treadlighter handled every aspect of the installation including the property survey and worked as an integrated team throughout. They kept to their quote too. The system has been up and running for a couple of months now and is delivering the goods. It was a serious investment but unlike money in the bank (not) earning interest there is a fun element in generating your own electricity from sunlight and saving some CO2 in with the bargain. Treadlighter were a pleasure to deal with and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.
